I had the opportunity to attend the International Conference on Envisioning Early Childhood Development Ecosystem in Nepal, held on December 6–7, 2024, at Purbanchal University in Biratnagar. The conference brought together experts, policymakers, and practitioners to discuss crucial aspects of early childhood development, including child health, nutrition, education, and protection. It was an enriching experience to engage with ECCD stakeholders, particularly the students from the University of Kathmandu, who have taken the initiative to establish their own early childhood centers across the country. Their dedication to improving the lives of young children was truly inspiring. I also deeply appreciated the insightful discussions led by esteemed keynote speakers, including my long-time friend, Dr. Meenakshi Dahal, whose contributions to early childhood development continue to make a significant impact. The conference reinforced my understanding of the challenges and opportunities in this field and emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to enhance the quality of life for young children in Nepal.
